How To Engage With St. Louis Safely, Daily Life Changes from the COVID-19 Outbreak
Things are changing fast so we’re going to do our best to keep a list of those changes in the metro area with a separate post for food-related items. This is the everything else list. (We also have ideas of how to help here.)
This started as a list of all the places closed for the foreseeable future due to the COVID-19 outbreak but we’ve reached the point where we can just say: TLDR - It’s probably closed. Pretty much everything besides some restaurant take-out, the grocery and general stores (like Target, Costco, Walgreens, etc.), Pharmacies and medical centers are closed to slow the spread of the virus. So really, there’s not much reason to ignore the advice to stay home.
In local elections news, Gov. Mike Parson signed an executive order Wednesday that moves municipal elections from April 7 to June 2. So plan to vote next on June 2nd.
If you’re feeling stir crazy or missing your favorite STL locations, several city institutions, small businesses, and boutiques are still offering ways to interact digitally, curbside pick-up or offering online shopping assistance.

City Museum On Air: City Museum staff will be going on Facebook live to give virtual behind-the-scenes tours and art classes every Monday-Friday.

Helium Comedy Club has developed Helium Presents, a compilation of staff picks for movies, podcasts, music, and original content, including digital shows.

The Missouri Botanical Garden will be posting virtual garden videos on YouTube Channel.

St. Louis Zoo - follow any Saint Louis Zoo social media page or the hashtag #BringTheStlZooToYou to kind of visit the Zoo virtually. They also recently launched #StlZooMonkeyMania
St. Louis Aquarium at Union Station hosted Breakfast With Coconut The Sloth which you can still view on their Facebook Page and plans more videos. They have also added breakfast with the Otters.
