Wondering Who runs Spotlight on St. Louis?
I’m Amanda Honigfort, a producer and journalist with a good deal of experience in media – particularly public media. I'm based in St. Louis, Missouri where I was born and raised - big surprise I’m sure with how St. Louis centric this site is. :) I’m also a graduate of Saint Louis University and pursuing my master’s in New Media Production at Webster University.
I did leave for a little over two years to live and work in both Washington D.C. and Champaign-Urbana, Illinois. While I found much to love about both of those towns, neither captured my heart the way St. Louis has, and I returned in 2016 to find a city so much wider and so much more vibrant than I had known before my time away. There is still so much more about this city that I’m still discovering.
That, tied with my love of finding and telling stories in any medium and any form has led to Spotlight on St. Louis.
